Looking for a step-by-step guide to connect Aoycocr smart plug to Alexa? This is your go-to resource.
Aoycocr smart plug is an inexpensive solution to remotely control any non-smart appliance with your smartphone and voice assistant devices like Alexa and Google Home.
I purchased this smart plug to operate my attic exhaust fan. Now, I don’t have to run the exhaust fan manually; instead, I schedule the fan’s on-off task with timer and voice commands.
Let’s find out how to correctly set up the Aoycocr smart plug to an Echo device without further ado.
How To Connect Aoycocr Smart Plug To Alexa
If you just received the Aoycocr smart plug from Amazon and have no idea how to get started, here is a step-by-step process from scratch.
1. Download the Smart Life App
If you read the owner manual or check the product description on Amazon, you’ll discover that the Aoycocr smart plug works with Popotan and the Smart Life app.

I have tested both apps, but I like the Smart Life app because Alexa works smoothly with this, and my other smart devices are connected to this app.
I have provided the download link of the Smart Life app for Android and iPhone. Click choose according to your device.
2. Create Account

After installing the Smart Life app on your smartphone, go to the apps drawer and launch it. The app will ask for a user agreement when you open it for the first time.
Read the terms and conditions and tap on Agree to continue. Next, you require a cloud-based Smart Life account to use all smart devices flawlessly.
If you don’t have a Smart Life account, tap on Sign Up and enter your email address to create an account.
3. Set Password
You’ll receive a verification code at your email address; enter that code to continue. Next, set a strong password for your Smart Life account.

4. Allow Requested Permissions
You must allow specific permissions to add any device with the Smart Life app. It requires access to the Local Network (Wi-Fi), Bluetooth, and Home Data.

5. Add Device
Next, tap the Add Device or the (+) icon on the top right corner of the app’s screen.

6. Allow Location Permission
The Smart Life app will need your device location data to discover the nearby smart plugs, smart lights, and other smart devices.

If a location permission popup appears on the screen, tap on Allow Once or Allow While Using App.
7. Select a Device
Go to the device list and tap Socket (Wi-Fi) to set up your Aoycocr smart plug to the Smart Life app.

8. Power On Smart Plug
Next, insert your Aoycocr smart plug into a wall outlet and press the power button for 5 seconds. The indicator light will start blinking because your smart plug will go into pairing mode.

9. Confirm the Indicator is Blinking
Go to your Smart Life app, tap “Confirm the indicator is blinking,” and then select the blinking type.

If your indicator blinks slowly (once in 2-3 seconds), tap on Blink Slowly; otherwise, tap Blink Quickly (2-3 times per second).
10. Select Wi-Fi Network
Aoycocr smart plug supports a 2.4 GHz network, so select a compatible Wi-Fi network, enter its security password, and tap Next.

11. Tap Done
When you tap the Next, it will automatically search all nearby smart plugs. Ensure that your smartphone and smart plug are closer to the Wi-Fi router.
The Smart Life app will discover and add the nearby smart plug, and you’ll see the “Added Successfully” message on the screen. Next, tap on Done.

Your Aoycocr smart plug is now connected to the Wi-Fi network, and you can control it with the Smart Life app.
